Mae Rim is situated 20 km north Chiang Mai and that's where our homestay is.
By the way, Chiang Mai is in Thailand.
Our Homestay is a family place, we do not wish to get richer with tourists who fancy the usual attractions and activities from Thailand.
We want to give a chance to foreigners to see what life is like up here, the way we cook, grow plants and finally, enjoy life in the north.
We offer you to stay in tents in our land, which surface is about one acre. We'll cook together and eat the products of our garden (mango, papaya, lemon, dragon fruit etc...).
We charge our guests 150b a day, breakfast and meals are included. There is a clean bathroom and 2 bicycles available but not the internet yet. Still, there's an internet cafe in the village nearby.
There aren't any restaurants around the garden that's why we include the meals :).
please contact us at thecirclegardenhomestay@gmail.com
or by phone 08 44 588 475... Since we check the internet only twice a week, you'd better call us.
Jody and Tsai.
If you wanna get to the garden, there are a few possibilities :
- You get a song thaew from Warorot Market "Kad Luang" in Chiang Mai to go to Mae Rim, and from Mae Rim a taxi motorbike to the garden. You'll need to call us to make sure the driver understands how to get to our place.
20 b for the song thaew and 50 to a hundred for the taxi.
- You can also let us contact a driver who'll pick you up at a known landmark (train station or bus station are the best) and he'll take you straight to the garden, he'll charge 300 to 400 b according to the number of passengers and bags (he can ask for more if you are a group, business is business :)
- You can try wihtout calling, I doubt you'll make it... who knows...
Anyway, we prefer having a phone call a couple of days before our guests arrive, it let us time to prepare the tents and have enough food ready for hungry travellers.
